Saudi authorities allow travelers visiting the Holy House of God to carry Zamzam water upon leaving the Kingdom, subject to specific regulations that ensure their comfort and the safety of transporting the water during the journey.
Categories Permitted to Carry Zamzam Water
• Pilgrims and Umrah performers with Umrah visas.
• Residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries with tourist visas for Umrah.
• Visitors arriving from any country with tourist visas for Umrah.
• Pilgrims with transit visas.
• Any traveler holding a visa related to performing Umrah.
Conditions for Carrying and Filling Zamzam Water
• Each eligible traveler is allowed to carry only one 5-liter bottle of Zamzam water.
• The bottle is carried free of charge and is not included in the baggage allowance.
• The bottle must be purchased from an authorized Zamzam water outlet.
• The bottle must be sealed, tightly wrapped, and inspected beforehand.
• Zamzam water bottles are not permitted in hand luggage or regular baggage.
